Youth and Sports completes the activities of the initiative "Long live Egypt pioneers" To raise awareness of the dangers of electronic waste
The Ministry of Youth and Sports continues to implement the activities of the “Long Live Egypt Pioneers” initiative. To raise awareness of the dangers of electronic waste and safe handling methods for such waste.
The ministry stated in a statement today that (14) seminars were held during the month of July in the governorates of Aswan (at the Qadri neighborhood youth centers – Aswan city), Fayoum (Qalamshah youth center), Alexandria (Anfoushi youth center), Menoufia (Zawiyat Al-Baqli youth center), Damietta (at the Ezbet Al-Burg youth centers – Al-Saha Al-Shaabiya), Qena (Naj Hammadi youth center), Dakahlia (Al-Dahriya youth center), Ismailia (Sheikh Zayed youth center) /, Kafr El-Sheikh (Fawwa youth center), New Valley (at the Balat – Sheikh Wali youth centers), Sharqia (at the Youth Development Center in Belbeis).
The training course began by talking about technological developments and their impact on human life, and the waste resulting from these electronic devices in what is known as electronic waste. It also talked about the types of electronic and electrical devices according to the United Nations classification The training courses also included raising awareness of the dangers of electronic waste and its damage to the environment, and raising awareness among those responsible for generating electronic and electrical waste from the public and private sectors about sound environmental management and safe disposal of such waste. The initiative is scheduled to be implemented within youth centers in all governorates.
