Xiaomi has unveiled a groundbreaking new feature called WinPlay, which allows users to play Windows PC games on Android devices. This innovative development bridges the gap between PC and mobile gaming platforms, offering a seamless gaming experience. According to reports from GizmoChina, WinPlay leverages advanced technology to ensure high performance and stability while running Windows games.
The Technology Behind WinPlay:
During a recent tech event, Zhang Guoqiang, Director of Mobile System Software at Xiaomi, revealed that WinPlay is powered by a specialized engine utilizing Xiaomi HyperCore technology. This technology creates a virtual environment on tablets, enabling smooth and efficient gameplay for Windows games.
Performance and Stability:
Xiaomi claims that WinPlay delivers exceptional performance with minimal performance loss, clocking in at just 2.9%. Additionally, the system boasts low power consumption, averaging 8.3 watts, making it ideal for extended gaming sessions.
Peripheral Support:
One of the standout features of WinPlay is its extensive support for gaming peripherals. Users can connect controllers, including Xbox controllers, as well as keyboards and mice, providing a comprehensive gaming experience akin to that of a PC. The feature also supports multiplayer gaming, allowing up to four players to join in simultaneously.
Current Availability:
At present, WinPlay is exclusively available on Xiaomi’s flagship tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4, as part of a beta testing phase. Xiaomi has yet to announce when the feature will be rolled out to its smartphones.
