WWE Hall-of-Famer The Great Muta has been left disgusted by the food options at pub chain Wetherspoons.
The Japanese wrestler, 62, flew over to Manchester last week to attend a fan convention at the BEC Arena across the weekend.
Europe’s largest dedicated wrestling gathering, For the Love of Wrestling, hosted some of the sport’s biggest legends including the retired star, whose real name is Keiji Muto.
Stars such as Mark Henry, who spent 25 years in the WWE, were also in attendance alongside many other sporting legends such as Debra McMichael.
And while they were kept busy at the convention, in their off time both Muto and Henry took a trip to the Bishop Blaize, a Wetherspoons located right next to Manchester United’s stadium Old Trafford, for some food.
The Japanese great shared to his social media pictures of him seeming repulsed by the food on offer while with Henry and various other friends and wrestlers.
Wrestling legend The Great Muta has slammed Wetherspoon’s ramen noodles on social media

The Great Muta, real name Keiji Muto, went to the restaurant with legend Mark Henry (centre) following a wrestling convention
Muto opted to stick with home comforts by eating the chicken katsu curry, a Japanese dish, while also trying the ramen noodle bowl.
With an alcoholic drink, the noodles are on offer for just £8.82, but even booze was not enough to distract Muto from the taste of the noodles.
He took to social media app X after the meal to state that the katsu curry ‘was okay’, but followed that by slamming the ramen. ‘But as for ramen…what the heck is this?!’ he wrote.
The post was accompanied by a picture of the ex-pro wrestler, who retired in 2023, pulling a disgusted face.
It didn’t seem to deter him from going back to the restaurant though, as he could be seen returning to a steak dinner on a seperate evening.
The Great Muta is not the only wrestler who has criticised Wetherspoons in the past, Mercedes Mone was not a fan of their Full English breakfast when she was in the UK last year.
The AEW superstar took to Instagram with a photo of the rather sorry-looking dish accompanied by just the word ‘oh’. She was not impressed.
In March 2023, The Great Muta was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame despite having never fought within the organisation.

Muto also decided to have a taste of home, eating a katsu curry which he desrcibed as ‘OK’

The Japanese wrestler was famous for wearing his intimidating mask during his fights
The Japanese icon enjoyed a glittering 39-year career in the sport, dominating globally across various companies inside and outside of Japan.
He notched up a total of nine heavyweight championships and left a legacy behind which consists of his famous moves the Muta Lock submission hold and the Shining Wizard.
Muto’s prime days were back in the 1980s, but he did not retire from the sport until 2023, even facing off against stars such as Shinsuke Nakamura before bowing out.
