Woodside fire: 6 injured, 3 of them seriously, after a house catches fire in Queens, New York
WOODSIDE, Queens (WABC) — Six people were injured after a house fire broke out in Queens on Sunday morning.
Citizen App video shows the FDNY responding to the scene after receiving a call around 7:20 a.m. about a fire at a three-story home on 37th Road in Woodside. Firefighters battled the flames and managed to get the blaze under control about an hour later.
According to New York City Fire Department officials, the fire started in the basement. More than 60 firefighters responded to the scene.
Of the six reported injuries, three suffered life-threatening injuries. One other person and two firefighters were also injured and have minor injuries.
Firefighters are now trying to determine the cause of the fire.
