Woman charged with murder after man is found dead in a Brown Plains house is identified as Skye Sampson – as neighbours recall horrifying details
A 32-year-old woman has been charged with a domestic violence murder after an elderly man was found dead inside a suburban home.
Emergency services were called to a home on Basie Court in Browns Plains, in south Brisbane, about midday on Monday after a 72-year-old man was found unconscious and not breathing.
He was declared dead at the scene before police arrested local woman Skye Sampson and charged her with murder (domestic violence offence).
Police believe the pair were known to each other however the nature of their relationship remains unknown.
She is set to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday while investigations continue into the death.
Neighbours reported hearing screams and yelling on multiple occasions before the alleged incident but did not know much about the pair.
One said she had never interacted with the man or Sampson.
‘I’ve just seen him get around on his push bike, goes to the shops comes back, mows his lawns,’ she told the Courier Mail.
