Joe Rogan, following his interview with Donald Trump, said he was open to hosting VP Kamala Harris on his popular podcast — if, however, she agrees to record the interview at his studio in Austin, Texas.
Rogan said the Harris campaign had offered to make her available for an interview, but only for one hour — whereas Rogan’s podcast with Trump ran for about three hours — and Rogan would have had to “travel to her,” according to the comedian-podcaster.
On Monday night, Rogan wrote on X that, “for the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast.” According to Rogan, “They offered a date for Tuesday” — presumably meaning Oct. 29 — “but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin.”
Rogan concluded, “My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen.”
Elon Musk, the techno-billionaire who is actively backing Trump, replied to Rogan: “I would definitely watch that podcast. Hour 2 would be [melting-face emoji].”
Reps for the Harris campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

Last week, a representative for the Democratic VP’s campaign said she would not be appearing on Rogan’s podcast. “We talked with Rogan and his team about the podcast. Unfortunately, it isn’t going to work out right now because of the scheduling of this period of the campaign,” Harris campaign spokesperson Ian Sams said in an MSNBC interview on Oct. 25. He added that “the vice president is happy to go anywhere and any place to talk to a broad segment of the country.”
Rogan made his comments about negotiations with the Harris camp about a potential interview in reply to his post sharing the full episode of the Trump interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience” to X, the social media platform controlled by Musk. Rogan said he was sharing it on X because “there’s an issue with searching for this episode on YouTube.”
YouTube said Monday that “some searches” for Rogan‘s Oct. 25 podcast with Trump were not “prominently” displaying the original podcast episode. The Google-owned video platform claimed that it has “worked to resolve this and viewers will begin seeing the full podcast in more YouTube search results soon.”
