The Aussie underwear brand, known for it’s ‘game-changing’ and comfortable period underwear has launched a new collection – and it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Gone are the days where period underwear was boring and basic – now you can get pretty undies for all times of the month.
Modibodi’s V Day collection is made from sheer powermesh and recycled nylon that gives a four-way stretch for comfort and durability.
All the bottoms have Merino wool lining to absorb fluid and control odour, keeping you fresh, comfy and dry.
Featuring embroidered retro-tattoo inspired rose and skull designs, the styles are all cute and kitsch and have been well received by fans of the brand with many saying they are ‘obsessed’ with the range.
Shoppers love the design and the practicality of the range. ‘This is stunning and I didn’t even realise it was period wear,’ said one.
Another agreed. ‘Periods shouldn’t be hidden or something to be ashamed of. They are a mark of strength, a cycle of power. Red, raw, and unapologetic. And just because it’s that time of the month, doesn’t mean we should have to miss out on feeling confident and sexy (especially in lingerie).’
The collection is available in a range of styles so you can choose from either full or cheeky coverage and they are options for every body shape.
Opt forTanga Briefs with adjustable side straps, a rose motif on the front and ‘Love Me’ embroidered on the back, or the Cheeky Briefs that have a moderate-heavy absorbency for heavier periods. These have a scalloped-edge trim, and black satin ribbon bow detail.
The Bodysuit, makes a serious statement. You can step in and out of it, and it has front and back panels for shaping. There are adjustable bra straps so you can fit it for your shape, and it has a low scoop back and a cheeky bottom.
All the styles come in sizes 8 to 18, and are presented in a gift box – making them the ideal present for someone else – or yourself.
‘Obsessed that these are period pants,’ said one delighted customer. ‘So gorgeous,’ agreed another.
All Modibodi’s underwear is made using natural and recycled fabrics in a bit to make sustainable period wear and reduce the use of disposable hygiene products.
Modibodi is the brain child of Aussie mum-of-four, Kristy Chong. She came up with the idea after experience light incontinence while she was training for a marathon in 2011. She soon realised her only option were disposable pads which she felt were ‘uncomfortable and bad for the environment,’ so set about making a range to make women feel comfortable and confident.
Her range of patented leak-proof underwear is now sold across the world and now includes stylish period swimwear too.
