There are many incredible things about being a 2025 Oscar nominee in the big categories: the worldwide acclaim, the recognition from your peers and the bragging rights. But most of all — the gift bag.
Even if you miss out on scoring a shiny, gold Oscar, the gift bags have gone down in history for being one of the most luxurious bits of swag from any award show on the circuit. Valued at a whopping $200,000 USD ($322,216.85 AUD), you’re straight up making money by attending the hours-long awards show.
You see, this is the 23rd year in a row that the gift bags have been put together by a company called Distinctive Assets. They’re called the “Everybody Wins” gift bag, and they include a wide range of goodies from snacks to fully paid holidays.
The founder of Distinctive Assets, Lash Fary, says that each year he tries to think of what items he’d want to receive in a juicy gift bag if he were a celeb.
“My goal when I’m building this bag is that I go, ‘There’s some cool shit here that I would love to get if I were a celebrity’,” he said.
According to CNBC, the luxury Nomatic suitcase swag bags are stacked with more than 60 gifts, including pre-rolled cannabis doobies, $305 USD ($491.38 AUD) worth of luxury skin care and beauty products, an invite for a $23,000 USD ($37,054.94 AUD) stay in the Maldives and a $5,200 USD ($8,377.64 AUD) stay in the five-star Cotton House hotel in Barcelona.
Some of the more obscure items include a virtual wellness retreat worth $3,500 USD ($5,638.79 AUD), AncestryDNA’s VIP Family History Experience, a year-long membership to disaster recovery support insurance for the celeb and 10 of their family and friends and $50,000 USD ($80,554.21 AUD) voucher for Maison construction, a project management service in LA.
While disaster support and construction vouchers seem like a strange addition to the gift bag of a glitzy event like the Oscars, many of Hollywood’s elite have been impacted by the LA fires.
Fary claimed that the disaster-related gifts are “completely transferable”.
“The nominees can give it to a friend or family member or neighbor, whoever might need it,” Fary told CNBC.
Who actually gets a luxury swag bag?
With such a hefty price tag, it might come as no surprise that not ~every~ nominee gets a juicy swag bag. Only the host, along with nominees of the biggest categories at the Oscars, receives the high-priced bag.
So, this year, the nominees who will be walking away with a host of goodies in a suitcase are:

- BEST ACTOR NOMINEES: Ralph Fiennes, Sebastian Stan, Timothée Chalamet, Colman Domingo, Adrien Brody
- BEST ACTRESS NOMINEES: Fernanda Torres, Demi Moore, Karla Sofía Gascón, Cynthia Erivo, Mikey Madison
- BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR NOMINEES: Guy Pearce, Yura Borisov, Edward Norton, Kieran Culkin, Jeremy Strong
- BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Zoe Saldaña, Felicity Jones, Monica Barbaro, Ariana Grande, Isabella Rossellini
While the gift bags are clearly one of the best things about attending the award show, not all celebrities accept the lucrative goodie bag.
So, with that in mind, if any of the big dog actors decide not to claim their goodie bags, please let the record show that I am more than willing to accept on your behalf.
