Volunteers from the Evangelical Organization participate in providing aid in the Minya train accident

Volunteers and cadres from the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services in Minya Governorate participated in providing immediate assistance at the site of the two train collision accident that occurred today, Sunday, in the Maqusa village area in Minya Center.

The Director of Media at the Coptic Evangelical Authority, Youssef Edward, said – in a statement today – that as part of the Evangelical Authority’s efforts to support the community during crises, a group of the Authority’s cadres and volunteers were present at the scene of the accident and distributed mineral water, drinks, and food supplies to the rescue and relief teams that continue to work around the clock. To rescue the injured and provide the necessary support.

He added that the Coptic Evangelical Organization confirms its commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts in such incidents, and strives to alleviate the suffering of those affected and their families.

He continued that the authority expresses its great appreciation for the rescue teams that are working tirelessly to confront the repercussions of the accident, stressing the importance of community solidarity in such difficult circumstances.
