It seems like Vin Diesel wasn’t a fan of Wicked – as fans have accused him of shading the movie when presenting the cast with the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award during the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
The actor, 57, took the stage at the ceremony, which took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, to read the nominees and present the award.
However, when he opened the envelope, which revealed the winner of the category, he seemed to snicker and sigh before reading out Wicked as the victor.
He even appeared to throw his hands up with the envelope before he announced who won.
And, no matter what he may have thought of the film, fans on X definitely took note of his less-than-thrilled reaction.
‘Why Vin Diesel shade Wicked like that,’ one person wrote.
Another agreed, ‘Vin Diesel going “tsk” when he read the winner was so unprofessional lol what a loser.’
‘Quite obvious Vin Diesel did not want Wicked to win the box office award. Too bad so sad!’ someone else typed.

Another shared, ‘Vin Diesel smackin his lips out of disappointment when reading that Wicked won had me ready to fight.’
However, Vin Diesel wasn’t the only one who presented an award that night.
Other presenters included Melissa McCarthy, Awkwafina and Andrew Garfield.
The works up for nomination this year include some of the biggest hits, like Challengers, Deadpool & Wolverine, Twisters, Wicked and The Brutalist.
Among the actors up for awards are Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo for their respective roles in Wicked, while Selena Gomez is nominated for her role in film Emilia Pérez.
Other names include Timothée Chalamet, who is joined by his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, as well as Denzel Washington, who is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture as he took on the role of Macrinus in Gladiator II.
The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White won the award for Best Television Male Actor – Musical/Comedy Series, while Baby Reindeer’s Jessica Gunning took home the award for Best Supporting Female Actor – Television.
Demi Moore also accepted the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy for her part in The Substance.
