The US State Department announced its approval to supply Egypt with 720 Stinger missiles, which are used to arm the AN/TWQ-1 Avenger short-range air defense systems in the Egyptian Armed Forces.
Arab Defense Website September 24, 2024: The US State Department has approved… sale Stinger missiles and related logistical and software support elements to Egypt for an estimated cost of $740 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.
