Urgent..The President of the Emirates awards the Egyptian Minister of Environment the Zayed II Medal, First Class

 His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, awards the Egyptian Minister of Environment, Dr. Yasmine Fouad, the Zayed II Medal " First layer" Within a group of 6 ministers around the world

Yasmine Fouad: The medal comes as a culmination of the Egyptian efforts, which I headed, to facilitate negotiations on the climate financing file in cop28   The Minister of Environment confirms:  The medal culminates in high appreciation from the UAE for an honorable Arab international effort in partnership between Egypt and the UAE in organizing two successive international conferences 

Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, was awarded the Zayed II Medal " First layer " From His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the sisterly Arab Emirates, for its distinguished role and contribution to the Egyptian efforts to facilitate the negotiation process in the climate financing file in Cop28, headed by the United Arab Emirates, and within a constellation of 6 ministers around the world.   Dr. Yasmine Fouad explained that this honor comes as a culmination of the harvest of the COP27 conference, which Egypt hosted in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2022, which paved the way for the success of the Dubai conference with effective decisions, most notably the establishment of the Loss and Damage Fund, and affirming a just transition for developing countries without compromising their paths to sustainable development and ensuring that those countries on climate financing.

The Minister of Environment added that the high UAE medal reflects appreciation  For Egypt’s Arab, African and international standing and for its efforts to advance international climate action to real results that address the dangers of climate change, and in honor  As an Egyptian Minister for her role in facilitating negotiations on the climate financing file, representing developing countries, with the participation of the Canadian Minister of the Environment, Mr. Stephen Guilbault, and in the conference reaching decisions capable of placing climate action on realistic axes of international cooperation, and in succeeding in reaching an agreement called the “UAE Consensus.” ;, stressing that this honor is a witness to an unprecedented Arab endeavor that guarantees ambitious, credible multilateral climate action, and presents a wonderful model of cooperation between the leaderships of the two countries, Egypt. And the Emirates.
