Today, Sunday, the National Press Authority held its first meeting in its new formation, following the swearing-in of Engineer Abdel-Sadiq El-Shorbagi, as Chairman of the Authority, before the House of Representatives.
At the beginning of the meeting, Engineer Abdel-Sadiq El-Shorbagy presented With sincere thanks and appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for renewing confidence in the presidency of the National Press Authority, pledging to redouble efforts and intensify work according to the goal and path of a stronger and more influential national press that takes into account the requirements of this stage. And the priorities of the nation and citizens.
The Chairman of the Commission welcomed the new members, Professors Counselor Mahmoud Fouad Ammar, Yasser Samir, Alaa Thabet, Amr Al-Khayyat, Hamdi Rizk, Sameh Mahrous, Osama Abu Pasha, members of the Commission.
The head of the authority expressed his confidence and aspiration to work together during the coming period to complete many files, given their great experience and ability to deal with the various challenges facing Egyptian journalism. Nationalism.
During the meeting, he reviewed the efforts that took place during the past period at all levels, financially, editorially and administratively, and the most important files being worked on during the current period and in the future. During the meeting, the formation of the office body was approved, headed by Engineer Abdel-Sadiq Al-Shorbaji, Chairman of the Authority, Alaa Thabet, Undersecretary of the Authority, and Marwa Nabih, Secretary-General of the Authority.
The formation of the specific committees in the Authority, the Economic Performance Evaluation and Development Committee, was also approved. And the administrative committee in the national press institutions headed by Alaa Thabet, the Professional Performance Development Committee headed by Hamdi Rizk, the Complaints and Suggestions Committee headed by Amr Al-Khayyat, the Dispute Resolution Committee headed by the Counselor. Mahmoud Ammar, the Follow-up, Communication and Distribution Committee headed by Osama Abu Pasha, the Education Committee headed by Sahar Al-Jaara, the Future Research and Proposals Committee headed by Sameh Mahrous.
The formation of general assemblies of national press institutions was also approved. Following the meeting, the Authority organized a celebration to honor the former members, Counselor Adel Brik, Dr. Ihab Abu Aish, Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar, Walid Abdel Aziz, Sameh Abdullah, and Al-Shaima Abdel-Ilah, and they were presented with shields of honor from the Authority.
Al-Shorbaji expressed his thanks.
