The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, praised the mutual coordination between Egypt and Mauritania regarding various issues at the regional level, especially with regard to Arab and African issues, expressing appreciation for the consensus of visions of the two sides regarding many files.
This came during a telephone call that took place today, Tuesday, between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Mohamed Salem Ould Marzouk, the Mauritanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. Minister Abdel-Aty expressed his aspiration to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, taking into account the strong relations that bind them, expressing his aspiration to convene the joint committee between the two sides.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out the importance of Working to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two sides, noting the need to benefit from the capabilities available in the two countries and the capabilities and accumulated experience of Egyptian companies in the fields of infrastructure projects and fisheries establishment, which qualifies them to undertake The projects that Mauritania intends to launch during the coming period, in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
Minister Abdel Ati stressed that the existing and continuous coordination between the two sides is the greatest motivation for enhancing aspects of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
The meeting also witnessed discussion of issues of common interest on the Arab and African arenas, and discussed developments in Libya, Sudan, and the Sahel and Sahara region.
