Urgent.. President Sisi stresses the importance of preserving the unity and territorial integrity of Syria and implementing humanitarian aid to Gaza

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today  Saturday "Jake Sullivan" US National Security Advisor and Brett McGurk Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa at the US National Security Council, in the presence of Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, Hassan Rashad, Head of General Intelligence, and the US Ambassador to Cairo, Hero Mostafa Garg.

 

< p>The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the meeting dealt with the latest developments in the regional situation, and reviewed the efforts of the two sides to reach a ceasefire agreement and exchange detainees in Gaza, where President Sisi stressed He stressed the importance of urgent action to implement humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, especially with the onset of winter, and the two-state solution was emphasized as the basic guarantee for achieving peace and stability in the Middle East. 

 

He added Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, said that the meeting also dealt with a review of the implementation and ways to maintain the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon as it is the nucleus of regional calm efforts, as well as developments in the situation in Syria, where the President stressed in this regard the utmost importance of preserving territorial integrity and integrity. The official spokesman explained that the depth of the strategic relations between Egypt and the United States was emphasized during the meeting, and the two countries’ keenness to continue strengthening them in a way that serves their common interests.
