Urgent..Minister of Education: The Egyptian state places the file of improving the educational system at its top priority

Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, confirmed that the Egyptian state places the education file and upgrading the educational system at its top priority, out of its belief that advancing the nation and achieving sustainable development begins with harnessing all capabilities to develop the education system and develop students’ capabilities.

This came during the meeting of the Minister of Education and Technical Education today, Tuesday, with Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim Al-Mudayres, Director-General of the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the pre-university education sector. Sidelines of the work of the Fourteenth Conference of Arab Ministers of Education, held in the Qatari capital, Doha, during the period from January 5 to 7, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Bahaa, Deputy Minister, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Assistant Minister for Strategic Planning and Follow-up.

Minister Mohamed reviewed Abdul Latif highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to improve the educational system in its various aspects in parallel with the application of effective mechanisms and solutions, according to available capabilities, to confront student densities and teacher shortages, and enhance ways to attract students to schools and support teachers. For his part, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim Al-Mudayres reviewed – during the meeting – the nature of the center’s work and its efforts directed at Arab countries, expressing the center’s keenness to continue strengthening ways of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and supporting its efforts to improve the educational system.

The meeting witnessed. Discussing aspects of cooperation in the areas of training and developing the capabilities of teachers, applying the Arab model for quality and excellence in education, exchanging experiences, enhancing the quality of early childhood institutions, supporting lifelong learning, and engaging with the international team concerned with teachers, in addition to holding relevant twinning meetings. By enhancing the implementation of various aspects of cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim Al-Mudayris was keen to present some of the Center’s various publications, including frames of reference and regional research studies, to Minister Muhammad Abdul Latif. The Minister appreciated the Center’s role regionally, stressing his keenness to benefit from all of the Center’s efforts through various means of cooperation.
