Urgent.. Minister of Aviation: The coming period will witness a partnership between the private and public sectors and no sale of assets

 

He said  Dr. Sameh Al-Hafni, Minister of Civil Aviation, said that the coming period will witness a partnership between the public and private sectors, explaining  What is being done are partnerships to manage the airport, not the sale of assets or the sale of an airport, and partnerships in some commercial activities, and it has nothing to do with securing the airport, customs, quarantine, or agricultural quarantine. < /span>

 

He said that the partnerships aim to develop financial performance and improve the quality of service provided to passengers at the airport with the aim of maximizing profit, explaining that there is no truth to what is being circulated through social platforms that we are selling airports

And he added " We aim to improve the quality of service, and for Egyptian airports to enter the international classification. The evidence is that Saudi Arabia has offered its airports for partnership, and it does not need money, but rather to maximize the quality of service.".

He said that the digital transformation project is important to the ministry because it achieves revenue maximization and improves the quality of service provided to passengers, pointing out that the focus is on the human element and there is a consultant who has been contracted to develop the thinking of airport workers, especially since we will enter into… An important stage is the stage of foreign management companies, and this requires that we have well-trained workers  You can continue with these foreign companies.

He added that as part of the digital transformation plans for hospitals, a system for treating passengers remotely was adopted, which is a system in which aircraft are equipped with devices that allow the doctor to examine the traveler and perform an EKG for him, and it is a new system, adding: " Through this system, an examination is provided to the traveler if he experiences a health illness, and the doctor is able to conduct an examination on the patient, all of this remotely.".

 

And turnip  The Minister said there were problems within EgyptAir, adding: Yes, there are problems within EgyptAir, but no company can bear what this company went through, as it went through two revolutions and a currency float, then Covid, and finally geopolitical events.".

and  He spoke about the Meteorological Authority and the development it has witnessed, and he also spoke about the Egyptian Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, stressing that for the first time the academy has transformed from losses to profits and achieved a surplus exceeding 110 million pounds, stressing that the academy’s infrastructure has been developed and its competencies have been raised.

 

 

 

And he said  Dr. Sameh Al-Hafni   EgyptAir’s development plan includes digital transformation and application  Artificial intelligence and the establishment of dynamic pricing mechanisms. This came during the plenary session of the House of Representatives, today, headed by Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and during Dr. Sameh El-Hafny, Minister of Civil Aviation, reviewing the Ministry’s statement regarding the Ministry’s strategies to strengthen the civil aviation sector and plans to increase capacity. The capacity of Egyptian airports reaches 79 million passengers annually .

 

 

And he added  " There are no aircraft on the market for purchase currently, and we are working to simplify procedures to facilitate the travel experience by canceling the boarding pass, and we operate self-service entry, and reduce the passenger stages from 9 stages currently to 4 stages only, and modernize the aircraft fleet".

 

The session witnessed a review of charter flight incentive programs to support inbound tourism, mechanisms for improving the efficiency of airlines’ work, plans to expand the use of modern technology to develop air services, and ways to enhance international cooperation with international airlines, in a way that contributes to achieving Egypt’s vision.
