Urgent .. Foreign Minister discusses a phone with his British counterpart bilateral relations and conditions in the region, Gaza and Sudan

Foreign Minister and Immigration, Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati, received a phone call from his British counterpart David Lami. Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated today, Thursday, that, during the call, Minister Abdel -Ati addressed the bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance them in the political, investment and economic fields, and to ensure more development and deepening them in various fields. The communication touched on the developments of the situation in the Middle East region, foremost of which is the situation in the Gaza Strip, where the Foreign Minister briefed its British counterpart on the efforts made by Egypt to return to the ceasefire agreement and the start of the implementation of the second stage, and to stop the current Israeli escalation … noting the importance of concerted efforts in order to contain the escalation in the region and avoid expanding the conflict in view of the dire repercussions of the peoples of the region. The spokesperson added that the communication also dealt with developments in Sudan, where Minister Abdel -Ati stressed Egypt’s position in support of Sudan, his security, stability, national institutions, unity, safety and sovereignty. The two ministers exchanged visions on the recent developments in Sudan and the efforts to restore stability and bring peace to the country. & nbsp;
