Mario Lopez has released his own brand of hygiene cleansing wipes for men, but it seems he might not have given enough thought to the packaging and appearance of the product.
People have taken to social media after noticing an unfortunate detail on the packet of the flushable wipes, which are infused with mint, eucalyptus citriodora oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E ‘for a soothing experience.’
The brown packaging has a picture of Mario’s face on it and reads: ‘Mario Lopez Wipes For Men,’ but the word ‘for’ is printed in very small white font and is barely visible.
Posting a photo of the wipes on Reddit, one person wrote: ‘Mario Lopez Wipes Men,’ as someone else asked: ‘Why’d they make that “for” so damn small.’
‘Plus the way he stares at your soul,’ another person said, referring to the image of Mario on the packet.
Someone else joked: ‘That’s not your soul he’s staring at… (but it does rhyme with soul…)’ as another person claimed: ‘Should the “for” be the same weight as the “wipes men” and scale slightly larger?’
Another Reddit user asked: ‘How does a whole panel of people who likely get paid more than me, green light this s**t.’
And the comments on X weren’t much better as one person posted: ‘That guy is literally scraping the bottom of the barrel,’ referring to Mario’s venture.
Mario Lopez has bene mocked after he released his own brand of hygiene cleansing wipes for men
People noticed an unfortunate detail on the packaging of the wipes, which is that the word ‘for’ was printed too small
‘That brown is too on-the-nose,’ another said about the color of the packaging, while someone else joked: ‘So if I crack (hehe) one of these open, will Mario Lopez pop out like a genie and offer to wipe my bum?’
Another person asked: ‘Why is the “for” microscopic,’ while a different X user added: ‘MARIO LOPEZ WIPES MEN They maybe should’ve tried that typeface out a bit more.’
However, other people admitted that they would be buying the wipes as gifts for the festive season.
‘Is this the start of a saved by the bell series of doo doo wipes?! Cuz Xmas shopping just got way easier,’ one person posted.
‘I’m loling but still gonna buy some for Christmas gifts,’ another said, while someone else claimed: ‘5 star reviews online. The dude’s probably making bank on these things!’
Mario – who recently branded the Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight a ‘joke’ – himself even responded to one particular review online and reposted a TikTok video as he listened intently to one man mocking the product.
TikTok user @jahzuuuu began the video by saying: ‘I just wanted to remind you all to not forget about a real issue, and what they don’t want you to be talking about right now, and that is that Mario Lopez has released his own line of butt wipes.’
‘There’s a lot to unpack here, no pun intended, I feel like this could be studied in some sort of graphic design class on how to not design your packaging,’ he continued.
Mario even posted a sarcastic TikTok review of the wipes on his own profile and seemed to find it funny
People were eager to discuss the product and the packaging on a Reddit thread earlier this year
‘When you see this from far away, which I imagine most people will in the store, or their bathroom or whatever, it looks like it says “Mario Lopez Wipes Men,” you know which is fine, I’m not kink shaming or anything, but I don’t think it was intentional,’ he continued to mock.
‘But the color of the packaging is interesting, it’s like this doo doo brown sort of chocolatey color, which I’m assuming is because it’s a mint scented?’
Throughout the video, Mario held up a packet of wipes and nodded and smiled as he listened to the comments.
He captioned the post: ‘This guy studied every angle of the wipes… Bravo!’
Someone else said: ‘Because of this video I just ordered 10 dozen. You the man brother these wipes are money,’ and another wrote: ‘No lies were told. Mario’s definitely an awesome sport for reposting and reacting.’
