The international agricultural conference and exhibition “Agritec” launches For smart and green agriculture in its first session in Cairo from October 28 to 30, under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, and with the participation of the Egyptian Space Agency, the United States Agency for Development, and the World Food Program. With the participation of major foreign and Egyptian companies and emerging agricultural companies, and in the presence of an elite group of officials, businessmen, innovators and those interested in the field of agriculture, to discuss the latest technologies and sustainable solutions for the agricultural sector, and provides new opportunities for financing and investment.

The sustainable development strategy also includes the national program for the development of livestock and poultry production The head of the Agricultural Syndicate added that the Agritec Forum is an opportunity for agricultural engineers to learn about everything new in smart projects and green agricultural technology and to meet with international organizations, businessmen and exporters to coordinate the efforts of those concerned with agricultural production and international partners. Great successes have recently been achieved in the agricultural export file and increased market confidence in Egyptian agricultural products, as Egypt exports agricultural products to more than 120 countries, and exports reached nearly 6 million tons last season for about 400 agricultural products. Dr. Ali Shams El-Din, Professor of Plant Protection and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Agritech Forum, stated that the world is interested in the agricultural sector and the trend towards transitioning to green and smart agriculture and expanding the transition to renewable energy while doubling the rate of energy efficiency and accelerating efforts to establish emission-free energy systems and using flexibility, mitigation and removal technologies in all fields.
