Two Indian fishermen sustain injuries after Sri Lankan navy opens fire

Two fishermen were injured and hospitalized after the Sri Lankan navy fired upon and arrested 13 fishermen for allegedly crossing the International Maritime Boundary. The detained fishermen, including six from Karaikal and seven from Tamil Nadu, had their vessel seized. Puducherry’s Chief Minister N Rangasamy requested the External Affairs Minister to secure their release.
