Donald Trump is suing CBS News for a whopping $10 billion dollars alleging the outlet manipulated its Kamala Harris interview to favor Democrats just ahead of the election.
Lawyers for the president claimed numerous violations by the broadcaster including lying in a thoughtful and malevolent way, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday.
‘CBS’s misconduct ‘caus[ed] confusion or misunderstanding’ to millions of Americans,’ the lawyers argue.
They wrote the complaint is because of ‘CBS’ partisan and unlawful acts of election and voter interference through malicious, deceptive, and substantial news distortion calculated to confuse, deceive, and mislead the public.’
Trump and his team also allege that CBS News was trying to run cover for Democrats by making Kamala Harris’ performance look better than it was.

Their editing was an ‘attempt to tip the scales in favor of the Democratic Party as the heated 2024 Presidential Election — which President Trump is leading — approaches its conclusion,’ Trump’s attorneys write in the legal filing which was first reported by Fox News.
‘President Trump brings this action to redress the immense harm caused to him, to his campaign, and to tens of millions of citizens in Texas and across America by CBS’s deceptive broadcasting conduct,’ the suit continues.
The lawyers also used the lawsuit to take personal shots at the vice president.
‘The edited broadcast created confusion because that was CBS’s intent: to do whatever it took to portray Kamala as intelligent, well-informed, and confident when, in fact, she is none of the above,’ the said insultingly.

Trump and his camp have called foul on the interview and its editing for weeks now and have threatened legal action before.
Trump’s attorneys previously released a letter demanding CBS News release an unedited transcript of Harris interview with host Bill Whitaker.
CBS refused to release the transcript.
The outlet claimed it ‘did not hide any part of the vice president’s answer to the question at issue.’
Trump’s attorneys continued in their letter how news broadcasters ‘are responsible for accurately representing the truth of events, not distorting an interview to try and falsely make their preferred candidate appear coherent and decisive, which Kamala most certainly is not.’
Of particular concern for the former president’s legal team is Harris’ back and forth with Whitaker over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his responsiveness to President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris’ requests.
‘Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,’ the vice president said in a clip posted by CBS News’ ‘Face the Nation.’
However during the actual ’60 Minutes’ interview Harris’ answer was more succinct and polished.
CBS News did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
