Trump is mocked for claiming he won TWO trophies at his West Palm Beach golf club as he receives award from legend Jack Nicklaus in front of Melania – just hours before deadline to pay 4 million fraud fine

Donald Trump was mocked on social media by President Joe Biden and other liberals after claiming he won two golf trophies at his West Palm Beach club.

Trump, still an avid golfer at 77, posted about his successes Sunday before attending a glitzy event where golfing legend Jack Nicklaus presented him a trophy as wife Melania watched on.

It comes as the president is just hours away from risking losing that club as part of a potential seizure by liberal New York State Attorney General Letitia James if he fails to pay an eye-popping $454 million fraud fine.

Trump wrote on Truth Social:  ‘It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY. I WON BOTH!’

Trump could hardly contain his excitement over how the evening went at his golf club.

‘A large and golfing talented membership, a GREAT and difficult course, made the play very exciting. The qualifying and match play was amazing. A large and distinguished group will be there tonight. Very exciting, thank you!!!’

Former First Lady Melania Trump – often absent of late due to the death of her mother at the start of the year – was standing behind her husband as he accepted his awards and gave a brief speech about the joy he felt in playing.

A social media account even caught Trump honing his game, making a birdie putt out on the greens this weekend and gave a speech where he talked about how well the afternoon on the course had gone.

However, many liberals chose to mock the president’s announcement, including Biden.

‘Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment,’ Biden posted to X, dryly.

Former MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann, who recently sparked outrage hoping Trump would be assassinated, wrote: ‘Oh, man. Beating up Dishonest J. Trump over his…golf game.’

‘He’s too nice to note that Trump is a notorious cheater at golf,’ added Bloomberg Opinion editor Tim O’Brien.

It was likely the last thing the former president did before he is due to be in New York Monday morning as he faces a potential cash crunch that could see him risk losing even the course, though Florida law makes that unlikely.

Seizing assets is a common legal option when someone doesn’t have the cash to pay a civil court penalty.

However, Trump has a unique arrangement with Palm Beach County where he operates the land but doesn’t actually own it, making it unlikely the government can take it from it, according to GolfWeek.

Instead, The former president’s bank accounts could be frozen and his beloved New York buildings at risk of being seized by Attorney General James if he doesn’t get a reprieve from an appeals court or find an insurance company to cover the massive bond.

On Friday, he claimed to have $500 million in cash hours before shareholders voted through a merger of his media company that put his paper stock at the venture at $3.3 billion.

The attorney general formally registered judgements in Westchester County where Trump has the two properties just north of Manhattan on March 6.

According to the county clerk’s online database, the judgements were registered against Trump, the Trump Organization and his two adult sons Don Jr. and Eric. The action was first reported by Bloomberg News.

The move signals the attorney general may be eyeing the property if Trump is unable to post bond. The filing did not give a reason for the registration or specifically identify any Trump assets.

James has said if Trump hasn’t made good on a $454 million court judgement against him by then from his New York fraud trial, she will begin seizing properties – hitting that Trump’s prized Art Deco skyscraper 40 Wall Street could be in her sights.

She also appears to be eyeing Trump’s Westchester golf club and Seven Springs estate, registering judgments in Westchester County.

The former president was boiling over online at the prospects the state may act against him. He wrote a series of fundraising pitches telling New York to ‘keep your filthy hands off Trump Tower.’

Then he fulminated online about the judge who slapped the stunning $454 million fine on him – which increases by more than $100,000 per day as he moves to appeal.

‘Arthur Engoron is a Rogue Judge who was intimidated by the big, nasty, and ugly mouth of Leticia James, considered by many to be the WORST Attorney General in the U.S. She is a Low IQ individual who campaigned for Governor, using my name, and got TROUNCED,’ he posted on his Truth Social site.

‘She and her PUPPET Engoron, who valued Mar-a-Lago at $18,000,000 when it is worth 50 to 100 times that amount, have destroyed all business prospects for New York State, that is already dying, or dead. But have no fear —When I become the 47th President, we will MAKE NEW YORK GREAT AGAIN!’

Trump’s team said they approached 30 institutions and couldn’t find anyone willing to post a bond for him.

The former president, who previously posted a $91 million bond in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case, then posted on Friday that he had $500 million in cash.

Among the properties James could target are: Seven Springs, his Trump National Golf Club in Westchester, and Trump Tower – where Trump’s own 10,000 square foot penthouse apartment was a key matter of dispute.

James has noted she can see 40 Wall Street from her own office. ‘I look at 40 Wall Street each and every day,’ she said.

Meanwhile the 77-year-old will also be heading to a Manhattan courtroom Monday for a hearing in what will likely be the first of his four of criminal trials to begin.
