One young trick-or-treater showed an unexpected level of generosity this Halloween when he decided to fill up an empty bowl of lollies with his own candy.
Tahdyn Butterworth had stopped by a house in Adelaide on Thursday when he noticed all the lollies put out by the homeowner had already been taken.
The 11-year-old then selflessly decided to reach into his own bag to pull out two large handfuls of sweets to fill up the bowl for the next visitors.
Taydyn’s act of kindness was caught on the home’s Ring camera on the door, with the 11-year-old flashing a smile and wave to the camera before he took off.
‘I was gonna pick up candy but there was none in there so I grabbed some out of mine, like two handfuls,’ he told Seven News.
The video of Tahdyn refilling the bowl went viral on social media where dozens of people applauded the youngster for sharing his haul.
‘He is going to grow into a caring & considerate gentleman… Such a little legend,’ one woman said.

‘I saw a lot of kids doing this. Even sharing from own bucket to other kids on the street. Kids are generally kind hearted. Well done to this young boy,’ a second added.
