Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter’s day to remember on Friday was nearly spoiled by an apparent argument with his fiancee that was caught on cameras.
Hunter spearheaded his team’s impressive 52-0 win over Oklahoma State Cowboys with three touchdowns and 10 catches for 116 yards, underlining his credentials as a possible Heisman Trophy winner.
But in the aftermath of the blowout win, cameras seemed to catch a tense exchange between the 21-year-old Hunter and his fiancee, Leana Lenee.
It is unclear what caused the dispute but they seemed to be disagreeing over something after the game as the wide receiver made his way back toward the field.
At one stage, Hunter appeared to try and kiss his partner but she turned her face away from him.
The moment was even picked up on by multiple high profile accounts on X, with the College Transfer Portal account sending the clip out with the caption: ‘Travis Hunter’s girlfriend was NOT happy with him after the game.’

But if there was any ill feeling at the time, Hunter appeared to try and draw a line under any issues with a couple of pointed posts on social media after the game.
He posted a short video on his Instagram story giving Lenee a kiss before turning back to the camera, smiling and saying: ‘I got lucky.’
Hunter also shared several pictures on his feed oh himself and Lenee, 23, together, He captioned it ‘Queen’ with the song ‘My Girl’ by Mindless Behavior.
Hunter and Lenee announced that they were engaged back in February.
Friday’s win could well have been one of Hunter’s last games for Colorado, too.
He is expected to declare for the NFL Draft next year with his current team’s playoff hopes slim.
The Colorado win was Hunter’s seventh game of the season with at least 100 yards to his name.
His performance means Hunter finishes the regular season with 92 catches for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Incredibly, Hunter also plays as a cornerback on the defense. On that side of the ball, he ended the season four interceptions and 11 pass breakups.
He recorded his fourth and final interception in his last game against Oklahoma State Cowboys.
The Heisman Trophy ceremony is December 14 in New York and Hunter will be excepted to attend with Lenee alongside him.
