Chinese customs released data that the volume of Sino-Russian trade sales in January-February 2022 amounted to $26.43 billion, an increase of 38% over the same period in 2021.
Russian exports to China increased by 35.8% during this period to reach $13.8 billion, and Russia imported $12.6 billion worth of goods and services from China, with an annual growth rate of 41.5%.
Last year, Sino-Russian trade reached $148.8 billion, up 35.8% year on year.
Earlier, Nikolai Bespalov, director of development at the analytical company RNC Pharma, said that the People’s Republic of China (PRC) could, if necessary, replace Europe in the supply of pharmaceutical raw materials to the Russian market.
