Tom Holland‘s dad, Dominic, has just spilled the tea on his son’s engagement to Zendaya, and it’s giving us all the warm and fuzzies.
Engagement rumours erupted like a social media wildfire when Zendaya stepped onto the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet sporting a massive diamond ring that had everyone’s spidey senses tingling.
The 28-year-old actress was serving in her burnt-orange Louis Vuitton gown, but it was her left hand that truly stole the show.
Eagle-eyed fans immediately noticed the big ass 5-carat diamond ring positioned strategically on her engagement finger. When a Los Angeles Times reporter directly asked if she was engaged, Zendaya responded with a coy smile, mysteriously shrugging her shoulders while subtly flashing her bling – basically confirming everything without saying a word.
However, Tom’s dad Dominic has recently confirmed the engagement on his Patreon in a post on January 10. “Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared,” Dominic wrote.
“He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”
Dominic couldn’t help but throw some cheeky shade at his own proposal skills, admitting he didn’t have a ring or parental permission when he asked Tom’s mum, Nicola, to marry him.
The ring, reportedly from jeweller Jessica McCormack, appears to be a 5.02ct East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring. It’s safe to say it will definitely be on a many a Pinterest board this year.
While Hollywood couples are notoriously cursed, Dominic’s not worried about Tomdaya. “I do fret that their combined stardom will amplify their spotlight and the commensurate demands on them and yet they continually confound me by handling everything with aplomb,” he wrote.
“And even though show-business is a messy place for relationships and particularly so for famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention, with us an example, with Nikki helming this family and my ‘wisdom’ on tap and a study in getting things mostly wrong and yet somehow right at the same time, I am completely confident they will make a successful union.”
Okay, I’m crying!!
So there you have it – Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged, and we’re all living for Dominic Holland’s adorably proud dad energy. This is my royal wedding!
