In the world of celebrity relationships, it can be hard to trust that love will last in Tinseltown. However, Tom Holland and Zendaya have become my go-to couple to believe in love again (not to be dramatic obviously).
Seriously, they are truly couple goals and Tom recently solidified that once again after revealing the surprisingly down-to-earth reason he often skips walking the red carpet at Zendaya’s movie premieres.
In a recent chat with Men’s Health, Holland made it clear that he believes in letting Zendaya have her moment in the spotlight. “It’s not my moment, it’s her moment and if we go together, it’s about us.”
Fair enough, Tom – but how about a little compromise? Maybe a cheeky photo op wouldn’t hurt — the fan edit girlies need new material.
The couple has been romantically linked since 2021, but their last red carpet appearance together was at the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Since then, Holland has been more of a shadowy figure and fans have spotted him lurking behind the scenes at Zendaya’s events, cheering her on from afar.
Holland also touched on the pressures of fame during his interview. He mentioned that while he loves his fans, he prefers to keep a lower profile at public events, which is why he often skips out on things that aren’t mandatory.
He explains that he can’t even go to places like the theatre on a whim. “It’s booked in advance, we sort it all out, we call ahead to the theater and make sure we can get somewhere private,” he said, sounding like someone who’s had one too many awkward fan encounters.
Don’t worry, if you still want your dose of Tomdaya you’re in luck. Fans of the duo can look forward to some serious screen time together in 2026. They are set to star in not one, but two major films: Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey and Marvel’s highly anticipated Spider-Man 4. Okay power couple!!!
Both films are scheduled for release just a week apart, with Nolan’s project hitting theatres on July 17, 2026, followed by Spider-Man 4 on July 24, 2026.
Tom recently joked about how studios love their chemistry on Dish Podcast. “Studios love it. One hotel room. Separate drivers. We’re not crazy now. Listen it’s work, alright?” he said.
He also acknowledged how having Zendaya by his side makes the grueling filming process much more enjoyable. “It’s a saving grace,” he said, adding that their bond allows them to relate to each other on a level that few others can understand.
So while Tom might be playing it low-key at Zendaya’s premieres, they’ll be sharing the spotlight plenty in cinemas soon enough and thank God for it!!!
