Arab Defense Website, November 3, 2024: On the seventieth anniversary of the Algerian liberation revolution against French colonialism, a large military parade was held, attended by army leaders and a wide audience, and witnessed the participation of many modern military equipment. Among the equipment that was displayed for the first time was the WJ-700 Falcon drone that Algeria recently received from China, as Algeria received four aircraft of this model during the past months.
The WJ-700 Falcon is an advanced drone designed by the Chinese company CASIC, combining reconnaissance and attack capabilities. According to its technical specifications, the aircraft has a take-off capacity of up to 3,500 kg, a payload of up to 800 kg, and a take-off speed of up to 800 km/h, with the ability to fly at an altitude of up to 50,000 feet.
This High Altitude, Long Range (HALE) drone, which is currently in the final stages of testing, is designed for reconnaissance and precision strike operations, and is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 100 km.
