The Tokyo governor confirms the depth of relations with Cairo… and expresses her desire to increase student exchanges between schools

Tokyo Governor Koike Yorki stressed the depth of relations between Cairo and Tokyo, expressing her desire to further stimulate exchanges and cooperation between the two cities. Especially in the fields of education and student exchanges between schools in Cairo and Tokyo.

 

This came during a meeting between the Governor of Cairo, Dr. Ibrahim Saber, with Ms. Koike Yorki, the Governor of the Japanese capital, Tokyo, and her accompanying delegation. As part of their participation in the activities of the fourth day of the World Urban Forum. 

 

The Governor of Tokyo invited the Governor of Cairo to attend the “Sushi Tech” conference, which will be held next May. About major emerging companies in the presence of senior officials from the five continents.

 

For his part, the Governor of Cairo stressed that the relations of friendship and brotherhood between the Egyptian and Japanese peoples are extended and deep, because they are peoples with history and civilization. Pointing out that the relations of friendship and brotherhood between Japan and Egypt are characterized by strength.

 

The Governor of Cairo pointed out that the relations of brotherhood, friendship and cooperation between Cairo Governorate and Tokyo Governorate extend to approximately 34 years. Since the signing of the Friendship and Fraternity Agreement between the two governorates on October 23, 1990; Cairo and Tokyo share many similarities, as they are among the largest and most important cities in the world, and both are cities that combine history and ancient civilization with progress, development, and modern civilization, and they share challenges.
