The Sports Media Performance Control Committee appreciates the channels and programs’ commitment to controls "Supreme Media"
– 2025 is the year of restoring sportsmanship, fair competition, rejecting violence, hatred and intolerance, and strengthening belonging to national teams
– Inviting channels to dialogue with the committee to work on improving the sports journalistic and media work environment

The Sports Media Performance Control Committee, affiliated with the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, was held under the chairmanship of Counselor Abdul Salam Al-Najjar, Vice President of the State Council and Member of the Supreme Council. The media organization held its regular meeting, in the presence of Engineer Khaled Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Council.
The committee appreciated the response and commitment of the satellite channels and sports programs – To a large extent – in accordance with the controls issued by the Council, since their entry into force on the first of this January, according to the reports submitted by the Council’s Monitoring Department regarding the follow-up of sports programmes.
The Committee confirmed that program presenters and workers in the field of sports media have a major role to play. In educating and enlightening citizens as leaders of public opinion and the masses, especially since the sports sector is important and followed daily by citizens, the committee added that it will work in cooperation with program providers and sports channels to ensure that the year 2025 is the year of restoring sportsmanship, fair competition, and rejecting violence. And hatred, intolerance, and promoting belonging to national teams.
The committee indicated that it follows around the clock all programs, websites, and social media pages that provide sports content so that they follow the legal framework specified in the regulations of controls, standards, penalties, and measures issued by the Council in 2019 during The term of the late journalist Makram Mohamed Ahmed as Chairman of the Council.
The committee decided to invite a number of channels to participate in an open dialogue on ways to develop sports programs and adhere to media principles. In the context of its keenness to raise the professional and objective level of sports media, in light of the developments witnessed in the sports arena that require the combined efforts of all parties of the sports media system to achieve purposeful media that adheres to professional standards and established controls.
The committee includes in its membership the following: Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Sports Program Officer on Egyptian Television, and Dr. Muhammad Fadlallah, Professor of Physical Education at Helwan University, Engineer Sherif Amin, Sports Management Expert, Journalist Ibrahim Rabie, Journalist Ayman Badra, and Journalist Ayman Abu Ayed.
