The qualifiers for the Border Governorates Olympics in North Sinai continue to select the best elements
The preliminary qualifiers for the Border Governorates Olympics continue in the youth centers of the city of Sheikh Zuweid in North Sinai Governorate, with the aim of selecting the best distinguished elements to qualify for the final qualifiers that will be held at the governorate level. These qualifiers come under the supervision of the Youth and Sports Directorate within the framework of the “A New Beginning for Human Building” initiative.
The initiative aims to enhance the role of youth and sports activities and programs in qualifying young people physically, spiritually, culturally, athletically and socially. These efforts reflect the state’s keenness to support young people in the border areas by providing competitive opportunities that highlight their skills and contribute to developing their capabilities.
The Youth and Sports Directorate announced that, within the framework of the competitions that the city witnessed, several enthusiastic matches were held. The result of the first match resulted in the victory of the Sheikh Zuwayd Youth Center team over the Al-Shallak Youth Center team, and the Al-Kawthar Youth Center team also achieved victory in another match.
In the final match of the preliminary qualifiers, the Sheikh Zuweid City Youth Center team defeated the Al-Kawthar Youth team on penalty kicks, 3-1.
Thus, the Sheikh Zuwayed Youth Center team won first place, securing its place in the final qualifiers at the governorate level.
These activities seek to enhance the spirit of sports competition among young people and encourage them to excel and be creative, in line with the state’s vision of developing youth skills and supporting sports as an essential part of building the Egyptian person.
