Within the framework of the directives of the Attorney General, Counselor Mohamed Shawqi, to periodically inspect police departments and stations in various parts of the Republic… on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth of this month, he assigned teams of members of the Public Prosecution to move to visit and inspect Police departments and stations: “Al-Marg, Boulaq Al-Dakrour, Assiut District, Abshway, Beni Suef, Sohag, Tanta, Al-Hamoul” So they moved there, where they inspected the inmates’ wards, verifying their cleanliness and readiness, and that they were free of anything that violated their privacy.
Members of the Public Prosecution also listened to a number of inmates in each section and center about their assessment of their living conditions.
