The Prime Minister visits Samalut Central Hospital to follow up on aspects of development and services provided

The hospital director indicated that the development of Samalut Central Hospital included the creation of a number of medical services, namely: the pediatric care unit, the joint surgery unit, the pediatric bone deformities surgery unit, the spine surgery unit, and the multiple sclerosis treatment unit. The Stroke Unit, the Pediatric Surgery Unit, the Maxillofacial Surgery Unit, the Plastic Surgery Unit, the Orthopedic Endoscopy and Sports Injuries Unit, in addition to a department specializing in oncology surgery, where she also touched on the position of mechanizing the medical services provided by the hospital in its various departments to develop and accelerate service delivery. , noting that the hospital was accredited by the Health Accreditation and Control Authority in December 2023.
Dr. Reham Essam El-Din added that the development also included increasing the capacity of Samalut Central Hospital, to 90 beds for internal departments, And 32 intensive care beds for adults, 8 intensive care beds for children, 21 nurseries for newborns, 14 emergency trolleys, 5 equipped operating rooms, 43 dialysis units, in addition to a regular radiology unit, an MRI unit, a CT scan unit, and blood research laboratories.
