The Prime Minister follows up the executive position of the Urban Development Fund projects

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met yesterday evening with Engineer Khaled Siddiq, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Development Fund. To follow up on the executive position of the Fund’s projects.  

During the meeting, Engineer Khaled Siddiq presented the implementation position of the “Dara” project for provincial capitals and major cities, indicating that within the framework of its urgent phase, he is witnessing the implementation of 61 thousand units in 23 sites in 13 governorates, with the completion of Networks, facilities and fences works, with an implementation rate of 98%, and he discussed in detail the status of the workflow at each site, and the connection of facilities and networks to it.

He also discussed the results of the marketing plan for the “Dara” project for capitals of governorates and major cities, explaining that the total units Sold since January 2024 until now, it has reached about 7,488 units, in the governorates of: Cairo, Qalyubia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Sharqia, Dakahlia, Fayoum, Minya, Sohag, and Qena, pointing out that a bank account was opened in dollars for the benefit of the Urban Development Fund to facilitate the residing customers. Abroad, within the framework of targeting workers abroad within the unit marketing plan.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Development Fund touched on the implementation and marketing position of the “Fustat View” project, explaining that the number of units sold reached 306 units, out of a total of 320 units. It was implemented within the first phase of the project, while the second phase is planned to include the implementation of another 364 units, which began to be put forward for implementation in September 2024.

Engineer Khaled Siddiq discussed the executive position of the Historic Cairo Revival Project, with its various components, In terms of implementation rates for the project phases, the number of buildings that underwent facade development, or structural reinforcement, as well as buildings registered as monuments, with regard to the projects: Al-Hakim Mosque area, Bi-Amr Allah, Al-Shorbagy Hotel, the Haret Al-Rum area – Bab Zuwailah, and the area south of Bab Zuwailah – Al-Khayamiya. And the Al Hussein Tourist Hotel, in addition to the Milky Way area.

He also discussed the position of the project to implement the Craft Industries Complex, in two phases, to include 798 craft workshops, a craft school, and 15 buildings with a total of 600 housing units, and 3 buildings designated as housing for women. Al-Ma’ilat includes exhibitions of handicrafts, in addition to an events hall, wholesale markets, a police point, a post office, a fire station, an ambulance point, a playground complex, and a parking complex.

 

Engineer Khaled reviewed Friend also the executive position to develop the facades of the buildings located on Al-Banhawi Street, as well as the development of the pedestrian entry and exit gates in Al-Hussein Square, the two main police gates in the area, as well as Al-Hussein University Hospital.  

 

In another context, Engineer Khaled Siddiq referred to working to facilitate the issuance of the necessary licenses for investors wishing to implement projects within historic Cairo, as he reviewed a number of projects that The issuance of building permits has been completed for them, including the “Wakalet Al-Hasr and Al-Mulla” hotel, in the Al-Hakim Mosque area, bi-Amr Allah, and building permits for the “Beit Al-Dahdira Hotel, in the Darb Al-Labanah” area, as well as the projects in which building permits are being issued for a number of projects, including: “Housing.” Al-Tarabishi, in the Downtown Cairo neighborhood”, “Construction of the Atfa Al-Hakim building, in the Darb Al-Labbana area”, “Building license on an area of ​​929 square meters in the Darb Al-Labbana area”.

 

Siddiq also reviewed the implementation, management and operation of the Fustat Hills Park project in detail, pointing to the efforts made within the Historic Cairo development plan to become the largest park in the Middle East with an area of ​​about 500 acres.

During the meeting, Engineer Khaled Siddiq reviewed the proposed study to develop the perimeter of the Religious Complex, within the Fustat Gardens Project, explaining what this study includes in terms of preliminary design plans for the site and the main roads around it, existing buildings, and pedestrian and vehicle traffic paths.
