The Prime Minister chairs the meeting of the Supreme Hajj Committee

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, chaired today; Meeting of the Supreme Hajj Committee, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, and Lt. Gen. Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity. The Prime Minister indicated – at the beginning of the meeting – that today’s meeting comes within the framework of early preparations for organizing the Hajj season for next year 2025, in a way that contributes to avoiding What negatives faced pilgrims during the last Hajj season, stressing the government’s endeavor to provide various aspects of comfort and services for Egyptian pilgrims.

 

The Prime Minister noted the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between the various Egyptian and sisterly Saudi authorities. Concerned, in a way that contributes to the coming Hajj season in the best possible way.

 

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and the Minister of Health and Population referred to the efforts of the Ministry of Health to provide the necessary health care. for pilgrims, stressing that this health and medical care is made available to various categories of Egyptian pilgrims.

 

The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities noted – during the meeting – the cooperation and coordination that is taking place with the Saudi authorities, in preparation For the upcoming Hajj season, it also discussed a number of regulatory procedures at the level of the relevant Egyptian authorities, with regard to the distribution of visas, the arrangements for the official Hajj delegation, and the role of each party in this regard.

 

On the other hand, the Minister of Labor indicated the necessity of continuing coordination with Saudi companies, and taking various necessary measures at the level of Egyptian companies, in order to ensure that any violations that occurred during the past year are avoided.

 

During the meeting, the Minister of Solidarity discussed the Ministry’s efforts in the Hajj file, and the coordination and cooperation that is taking place with many other concerned parties.

 

Madbouly also stressed the importance of working to provide Hajj opportunities for Egyptian citizens at reasonable prices, and providing good services to them, in light of providing a percentage of Hajj programs at luxury prices and services.

 

In this regard, the Minister of Tourism confirmed that the Ministry It continuously coordinates with tourism companies to ensure the provision of Hajj programs in a manner that is appropriate and consistent with all different categories and segments of citizens, stressing at the same time the importance of educating citizens not to deal with unofficial entities to obtain Hajj visas.

 

In this context, the Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out the importance of establishing the necessary controls for Hajj through legitimate channels, in a way that ensures the travel of pilgrims through these channels, noting the importance of also working to expand economic Hajj programs and visas that suit most people. Segments of society.

 

Dr. Badr Abdel Ati also stressed the importance of raising awareness of the dangers of dealing with entities that are not licensed to grant visas due to the risks this entails, and the failure to provide the necessary services to pilgrims in a proper manner. Decent.

 

In this context, the Minister of Endowments indicated the Ministry’s intention to organize an awareness campaign during the coming period regarding the necessity of adhering to the regulations of the Hajj season, and that; This contributes to citizens avoiding dealing with entities that are not licensed to provide Hajj services.
