The head of the Medical Syndicate confirmed that the state has not yet succeeded in eliminating the phenomenon of attacks on doctors and medical facilities, stressing the need for all concerned agencies to cooperate to eliminate this unfortunate phenomenon.
Dr stressed. Osama Abdel-Hay said that the phenomenon of attacks on doctors and medical facilities is a shameful and barbaric phenomenon, and its perpetrators must be punished with the harshest punishment, immediately, so that they can be an example to others. He called for the need to increase the penalty for attacks on medical facilities and their workers, and to consider it a crime that cannot be reconciled under any circumstances.
The head of the Doctors Syndicate warned that the continuation of attacks on doctors and medical facilities will cause the hospital to stop providing medical services to patients, which may lead to the death of some of them. It will also push the remaining doctors in Egypt to emigrate abroad, in search of… A safe work environment, which threatens the stability of the entire health system.
