The Pharmaceutical Authority is witnessing an agreement to localize oncology drugs between two Egyptian and international companies

Dr. Ali Al -Ghamrawi, Chairman of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Authority, participated in the signing ceremony of an agreement to localize the oncology industry, between a global pharmaceutical company, and the Egyptian Sidico, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development, Minister of Health and Population, and Dr. Hisham State, Chairman of the Unified Purchase Authority, and Dr. Sameh Al -Bagouri, & nbsp; Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Pharmaceutical Company, and d. Idat Ghorab, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Supplies & Qudima & quot, and Dr. Adel Al -Khabari, President of Sidiko, and also in the presence of the economic attaché of the Swiss embassy in the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health and Population in the new administrative capital. And directed, and that the project to transfer manufacturing technology from the global company to the Egyptian is a pivotal step in our march towards achieving the self -sufficiency of 5 preparations of basic preparations for oncology patients in Egypt, which achieved the value of sales in the drug market exceeding 371 million Egyptian pounds, and its import bill is 10.7 million US dollars. Understanding and joint cooperation, then the matter witnessed several important stations, in which many efforts were made, until we reached this day in which we celebrate the launch of the project officially, and that this cooperation does not only represent a qualitative shift in the pharmaceutical industry, but rather an affirmation of Egypt’s ability to absorb and develop the latest technologies in the field of manufacturing specialized drugs. And procedural; To ensure the speed and efficiency of manufacturing technology transfers, according to the highest standards of global quality and effectiveness, and that the authority has worked, and is still working to facilitate organizational procedures and provide the necessary technical guidance, to ensure this project achieves its strategic goals in promoting local production and reducing dependence on import. Significantly by strengthening partnerships with major international and local companies to ensure the provision of safe and effective drugs at appropriate prices for the Egyptian citizen, according to the highest international quality standards, and that today we are witnessing the fruits of these efforts through this ambitious project that enhances the competitiveness of the Egyptian pharmaceutical industry at the regional and international levels, and that this strategic cooperation comes within the framework of Egypt’s 2030 vision, which places the health sector at the head Its priorities. This is within the framework of the commitment of the Egyptian and international companies to support the health sector in Egypt, and to contribute to enhancing the capabilities of local manufacturing, and enhancing the strategy of the Egyptian state in localizing the drug industry.
