The Permanent Committee for Drafting the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia holds its fourteenth meeting

The permanent committee for drafting the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia was held, headed by Dr. Ayman Al-Khatib, Vice President of the Egyptian Medicine Authority, its fourteenth meeting at the headquarters of the Egyptian Medicine Authority, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs. The Egyptian Pharmacopoeia also presented the latest developments in the participation of the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia, represented by the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia, in the technical review work with the International Pharmacopoeia issued by the World Health Organization, in addition to the developments in testing technical proficiency and the availability of standard materials.

It is worth noting that the Egyptian Medicines Authority and its active partners have been working on launching the fifth edition of the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia, and updating it in line with the latest regulatory systems and international pharmacopoeia. In conjunction with the issuance of Decision No. 599 of 2024 by the Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, which allows the Egyptian Pharmacopoeia, fifth edition, and its updates to be used as a reference for registering medical and biological preparations in the Arab Republic of Egypt. 

This comes within the framework of national efforts aimed at developing the system Egyptian Pharmaceuticals and enhancing its position at the local and international levels, in line with the directives of the political leadership, and in cooperation with all concerned parties to ensure the provision of safe, effective and quality medicine. High.
