Today, Wednesday, Sohag Governorate witnesses the opening of the Al-Diyabat Al-Azhari Complex in Al-Diyabat Village, affiliated with the Akhmim Center, in the presence of Major General Dr. Abdel Fattah Siraj, Governor of Sohag, Dr. Ahmed Hamadi, Head of the Central Administration of the Sohag Al-Azhar Region, and a number of popular and executive leaders in the governorate, within the framework of enhancing educational and religious services in The region, and achieving comprehensive development of the educational sector in Upper Egypt.
Al-Diyabat Al-Azhari Complex consists of two buildings with a modern and advanced design to provide an integrated educational and religious environment. The first building consists of a ground floor and three upper floors, while the second building consists of a ground floor and four upper floors. This design aims to accommodate the largest number of students in the various educational levels of Al-Azhar. This ensures a comfortable and safe study environment.
The cost of the complex amounted to 9 million pounds, which reflects the great efforts made by the state to support and develop Al-Azhar education throughout the republic, specifically in rural areas that need such modern educational facilities.
The opening of Al-Diyabat Al-Azhari Complex comes within the framework of the state’s strategy to develop Al-Azhari education and increase its capabilities to provide distinguished educational services to deprived areas in Upper Egypt.
