The oldest football player in the world signs a new contract

The Japanese striker of Yokohama, Katsuyoshi Miura, renewed his deal with Yokohama, where he has been playing since 2005.

The 54-year-old will play for fourth-division club Suzuka Point Jeters, where he was loaned for a year.

In September 2020, Miura entered the field against the Kawasaki Frontale and became the oldest player in a professional football match. Miura is the only professional footballer to have played for five decades – 35 seasons for him.
