The Ministry of Petroleum announces the completion of cooling operations by geographical area work teams

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has confirmed that cooling operations are now being completed by the work teams of the Petroleum Geographic Zone in Mostorod for the part where the fire broke out this morning of the Mostorod-Highstep gas stove line within the city of Khanka, and the completion of completely filtering the product so that the process of repairing it can begin.

 

The cooling and liquidation operations of the damaged part of the line are scheduled to be completed within 6-8 days. Hours, after which specialized work teams begin the process of repairing the damage, restoring the line and preparing it to work again.

 

On the other hand, accountant Abbas Saber, head of the General Union of Petroleum Workers, inspected the site of an accident that broke the Mostorod gas transmission line, the High Step, belonging to the Petroleum Pipeline Company, in the city of Khanka as a result of a collision that the line suffered from a loader working in the area at night.

 

The President of the Petroleum Syndicate praised the immediate directives of Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to deal with the fire and go immediately to the site of the fire and activate the emergency measures taken by the Petroleum Geographical Zone in Mostorod to deal with the situation, and isolate the line after bringing in specialized means for that, represented by a nitrogen vehicle from the company. Petrojet, and the Minister directed that work teams be ready to repair the line as soon as it has cooled as a result of the ignition.

 

Accountant Abbas Saber confirmed that the Petroleum Authority has provided an alternative source of butane supplies to Cairo through the Suez butane gas line – Katameya, where the gas is distributed to all regions of the Republic naturally through the network lines extending in all the governorates of the Petroleum Pipeline Company, and line repair teams and repair equipment were dispatched to begin it as soon as the line cooled down and the situation was fully under control.
