The General Administration for Combating Unlicensed Weapons and Ammunition at the Ministry of Interior organized the seventh conference of heads of departments for combating unlicensed weapons and ammunition, under the slogan (Developing Mechanisms to Combat Weapons Crimes in Light of Technological and Technological Development) at the Training Institute for Combating Unlicensed Weapons and Ammunition.
The conference activities began with the opening session in the presence of a number of security leaders in the ministry. This was followed by a number of important topics being discussed; At the top of the list were (the pillars of the strategy to combat weapons crimes – the role of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in raising awareness of the dangers of using weapons and rejecting violence – the repercussions of armed conflicts in neighboring countries and their effects on the country’s national security – the latest developments in the ways and means of smuggling weapons across borders – precautionary measures in the Code of Criminal Procedure. – Ways and means of committing cybercrimes in the unlicensed arms trade and methods of confrontation – The role of the media in shaping societal awareness of the dangers of using weapons – the media and legislative role in reducing the phenomenon of weapons possession).
The main topics of the conference were " security –legislative – Community " The role of each axis is to confront this phenomenon, as the participants discussed many topics to find ways to combat this activity.
The conference recommended supporting the administration with the latest technological means and modern techniques to raise the level of performance of efforts. Combating and submitting proposals to amend and add some articles to the Weapons Law to benefit from them in combat work, and emphasizing the importance of the combined national role of religious institutions and media outlets in shaping societal awareness of the dangers of using weapons and rejecting violence.
