This Sunday morning, the Ministry of Health and Population launched the activities of the 16th annual scientific conference of the National Institute for Endemic Diseases and the Liver, affiliated with the General Authority for Hospitals and Educational Institutes, which will be held over 3 days.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the National Liver Institute is considered one of the most important medical edifices in the field of research and scientific references specialized in medicine and surgery of the digestive system and liver, stressing the necessity of cooperation with research academies and leading medical institutions in this regard, let’s say And exchanging experiences, in addition to his keenness to organize training courses for doctors and nursing teams on the latest treatment methods used internationally, with the aim of improving the medical services provided to citizens.For his part, Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health for Public Health Initiatives, congratulated the Chairman of the Authority. The head of the authority added that the workshop includes 6 halls for practical training on upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, bile duct endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, polypectomy, and abdominal ultrasound, in addition to two halls for live broadcast of live endoscopy cases from the endoscopy department rooms. Digestive system at the institute, at (Shebin El-Kom Teaching Hospital, and the Mahalla Liver Educational Institute), in addition to a live broadcast of surgical operations and interventional radiology, adding that the conference includes 214 scientific lectures, and more than 500 experts and professors specializing in gastrointestinal medicine and surgery in various countries.
