Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, stressed the depth of the historical relations that bind Egypt with its brothers in Jordan and Iraq, and the importance of joint cooperation between the three countries in various fields of transportation, noting that Al-Jisr Company Arab Navigation represents a successful model of Arab partnership in this regard and plays a major role in enhancing intra-regional trade and increasing the volume of Arab-Asian-African trade exchanges.

The Minister also noted that the company had taken rapid and appropriate measures to confront new challenges and circumstances over the past years, which contributed to the advancement of this Arab edifice and the achievement of positive results year after year, stressing the importance of increasing the volume of cooperation between the three countries in all fields, especially the field of transportation. During the meeting, the Ministers of Transport were briefed on the activity of the Arab Bridge Company during the year 2024, which showed the achievement of the desired positive results, as It continued its leadership in the maritime transport industry, by transporting more than 200,000 passengers and more than 70,000 trucks via the Aqaba-Nuweiba sea line, which confirms the important role it plays in the trade movement to be a link between the continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe and an Arab economic bridge. Socially, the company sought to achieve its set goals despite the state of instability in its work area due to the current regional conditions, which reflects the success of the Arab partnership in this framework according to the foundations, flexible work plans and strategies. It is compatible with international and regional changes.
During the meeting, the transport ministers stressed the importance of continuing the development and modernization approach, and the necessity of opening new horizons for the company through the company’s ships operating on new shipping lines, especially in the Red Sea region. Which enhances the company’s position in the maritime transport industry, pointing out their absolute support for this distinguished Arab partnership, and their constant endeavor to overcome the difficulties facing the company’s business, as the impressive results that have been achieved confirm that with the presence of will and determination With hard work, all difficulties can be overcome and the desired goals can be achieved.
In this context, the Jordanian Minister of Transport praised the distinguished and unprecedented achievements and results achieved by the Arab Bridge Navigation Company during the past five years, pointing out that this confirms that those in charge of The company has extensive knowledge and knowledge of the maritime transport industry, and a high degree of responsibility, professionalism and craftsmanship, and they have the necessary skills and the ability to follow up on the progress of work and all issues related to the company’s work.
For his part, the Iraqi Minister of Transport praised With the work system of the Arab Bridge Shipping Company, and the competencies present in the company’s management and its board, which enabled it to achieve remarkable and impressive results at a time when most transport companies are suffering, stressing the importance of this unique Arab partnership, and maintaining its continued success by continuing to provide it with the necessary support to facilitate its work.
In turn, Adnan Al-Abadla, General Manager of the Arab Bridge Shipping Company, reviewed the company’s business plans and aspirations for the year 2025, which aim to increase and diversify the company’s sources of income. Through developing and improving the services provided to passengers on board the company’s ships, exploiting the company’s fleet of ships and working on new shipping lines, in addition to expanding the leasing policy, and developing the trade exchange movement through the Aqaba-Nuweiba sea line through new routes, rehabilitating and developing truck parking areas, and continuing Modernizing the company’s fleet.
Al-Abadla explained that the company is continuing to develop and modernize its marine fleet, as two tourist boats were purchased and put into service in November, in addition to a ship. Modern shipping will enter service at the beginning of the year 2025, bringing the number of company fleet units to ten diverse marine units specialized in transporting passengers, tourist groups, goods and trucks, which allows the company to diversify its operational options and work on new shipping lines in the Red Sea region.
