The Minister of Tourism and his Italian counterpart inaugurate the Italian School of Hospitality in Hurghada
During his visit today to the city of Hurghada, Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, and Daniela Garniero Santanchi, Minister of Tourism of Italy, inaugurated the Italian School of Hospitality in Hurghada, Red Sea Governorate, accompanied by Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, and Ambassador Michele Quaroni, Ambassador of Italy to Cairo. And Kamel Abu Ali, President of the Red Sea Investors Association and Chairman of Peak Albatros Group.
Amr El-Qadi, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, and Mohamed Fahmy, Assistant Minister, also participated in the opening. The Minister of Tourism delivered a speech during the opening, which he began by offering congratulations to those in charge of this project from the Egyptian and Italian sides, praising their efforts in completing this project within seven months.
He pointed out that this project is a role model for cooperation between the public and private sectors, and an important example for a tourism investor who has investment thinking and a great interest in developing and raising the efficiency of the human element in the tourism industry, pointing to the Egyptian state’s keenness to support and encourage such models of investments in the field of tourism. . The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities also spoke of his keenness and interest in the importance of training and qualifying workers in the tourism industry in Egypt in a way that contributes to improving it and developing the services provided to tourists and visitors, which is one of the basic pillars of the ministry’s strategy during the current period.

He praised the important opportunities that this project provides for workers in the tourism field to exchange experiences and cultures between Egypt and Italy and to graduate trained and qualified workers to work in the tourism sector.
Also, The Minister of Tourism spoke about the excellence of relations and the rapprochement of cultures between Egypt and Italy at the popular and governmental levels, especially in light of the remarkable progress and development witnessed by Egyptian-Italian relations at the level of the political leaderships of the two countries and the various aspects of cooperation linking the two countries.
 
In his speech, he stressed the importance of the tourism industry, especially in light of the job opportunities it provides and its contribution to supporting peace and achieving understanding and rapprochement between peoples, pointing out the importance of tourism being based primarily on achieving the security and freedom of tourists. And providing ease of transportation and mobility in various tourist areas.
The Minister concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of investing in the development of the human element and the return from that for the present and the future, praising the role of The human element is an important focus in various industries, especially the tourism industry, which is based on it, and he expressed his hope that there will be other models of these schools in cooperation with other tourism investors.

It should be noted that work on this school is scheduled to begin in Next January, Italian teachers will organize 6-month training programs for Egyptian teachers who will work at the school, with the school starting to receive student applications starting next June.
The Italian School of Hospitality was established in Hurghada in cooperation between “Federatorismo Confindustria” The “Italian School of Hospitality” and the “Bik Albatross” group, with support from the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Italian Ministry of Tourism and the Embassy of the State of Italy in Egypt, as this project aims to provide vocational training for Egyptian youth in the fields of tourism and hospitality in accordance with the highest international standards. p>
