Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
Ahmed Issa began his speech, Welcoming Dr. Muhammad Ismail Khaled, congratulating him, wishing him continued success in his work tasks, and expressing his confidence in his ability to complete the process of achievements that have been achieved by the Supreme Council of Antiquities during the past period, especially since he is one of the sons of the Ministry and the Council.
The Minister indicated that there is still a long way to go, and that there are many goals that need to be achieved by the Council during the coming period, stressing that all support will be provided and all efforts will be combined to improve and advance the Council and its various departments and activities and achieve more progress. He worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Egyptian Antiquities at the University of Würzburg in Germany, and head of the Egyptian-German mission in the pyramid collection of King Sahure in the archaeological area of Abu Sir, where he made many important archaeological discoveries, in addition to having many prestigious and internationally peer-reviewed scientific publications. Dr. Muhammad Ismail Khaled received many international scientific grants for post-doctoral research from the Humboldt Foundation at the University of Würzburg in Germany, and from the German Henkel Foundation, and he worked as a visiting professor at the Institute of Near East and Civilizations in the Department of Egyptian Antiquities at Yale University in the United States.

Dr. Muhammad Ismail Khaled is a member of the Supreme Council of Antiquities. He began his professional life as an inspector of antiquities in the Pyramid Antiquities area, then rose to leadership positions in the Council, where he held the positions of Director of the Technical Office of the Head of the Central Administration of Antiquities in Cairo and Giza, and Director of the Research Department.
