Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, concluded his visit to the British capital, London, with a meeting with the Director General of the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce and a number of representatives of the Chamber, in order to discuss ways of joint cooperation to attract more tourism investments to Egypt and promote the Egyptian tourist destination further.

The importance of continuing periodic communication between the Ministry and the Chamber, sharing current developments in the tourism industry in Egypt, and presenting available tourism investment opportunities and promoting them on the Chamber’s various media and social media platforms was emphasized.
On the sidelines of his visit, Mr. Sherif Fathi held several Media meetings with a number of representatives of a group of British, international and Arab media outlets, including newspapers, news agencies and television channels, during which he reviewed the ministry’s current strategy and the most prominent indicators of tourist traffic coming to Egypt from the targeted markets during the current year. Pointing out that the number of tourists is expected to reach 15.3 million tourists by the end of this year, an increase of 5% over last year.
It is worth noting that the visit of Mr. Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, to the British capital, London, came to participate in the International Tourism Exhibition (London International Tourism Exchange) WTM London 2024 (World Travel Market) in its 43rd session, whose activities continued until November 7.
