The Minister of State for Military Production inspects the Specialized Medical Center in Helwan
Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, inspected the Specialized Medical Center for Military Production in the Helwan area in Cairo, which is one of the units affiliated with the Ministry.
Minister Mohamed Salah said that the aim of this visit is to reassure and follow up on services. The medical and therapeutic services provided by the medical center to employees of the Ministry of Military Production and their families, as well as all those who frequent the medical center from outside the ministry… stressing the necessity of providing them with integrated health care within a distinguished and advanced professional service. It is safe and accessible to everyone, taking into account the highest quality standards.
Dr. Alaa El-Deeb, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Specialized Medical Center, gave a presentation during which he indicated that the center consists of 7 floors, with a capacity of 250 beds, and includes internal departments that have been equipped with the latest Medical equipment in the specialties of (general internal medicine, children, brain, neurology, ophthalmia, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, urology, pediatric surgery, Dentistry, facial surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery), in addition to special departments that include (premature babies, operations, catheterization and cardiac unit, cardiac intensive care CCU, critical care ICU, allergy and immunology diseases, gastrointestinal motility measurements), and there are also outpatient clinics. For all medical specialties.
Al-Deeb said that the center conducts analyzes (cumulative sugar, random sugar, triglycerides, kidney disease) for workers in military production within the framework of the presidential initiative. "100 Million Health", and the necessary analyzes and examinations are performed for early detection of cancerous tumors (lung, colon, and prostate).
Minister Mohamed Salah was briefed on the plan to develop the center and raise the efficiency of the dialysis unit, which includes 30 machines. It is targeted to add 8 new machines during the next short period. Thus, the center includes the largest dialysis units, with 38 units.
The minister was also briefed on the plan to qualify and train the center’s medical and administrative workers, which aims to raise the scientific and practical level of young people and advance and develop the center’s medical service.
