The Minister of Social Solidarity witnesses the opening of the activities of the foundational training program for the General Administration of Internal Audit and Governance in the Ministry
Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, witnessed the opening activities of the foundational training program for the Ministry’s General Administration of Internal Audit and Governance, which was organized in cooperation between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Economic Governance Project funded by the United States Agency for International Development.
An elite group participated in the training. Of experts from PWC and a wide number of workers in social solidarity departments and directorates in the governorates, in the presence of Rania Ezzat, Head of the Central Administration for the Minister’s Office Affairs, Sherif Abu Al-Futouh, Director General of the General Administration of Internal Audit and Governance, and Randa Hanna, Director General of the General Administration for Talent Development.

The training program, which is presented by a group of specialized experts, aims to build the capabilities of employees and introduce the general administration of internal audit and governance in terms of the institutional and regulatory framework and the impact and role of the unit in preventing corruption and supporting integrity and transparency in a way that ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of work in institutions. And ensuring sustainable economic development.
The training, over two working days, discusses a number of topics, including the main concepts of the internal audit function and governance in terms of the definition of governance and internal audit, its concept, and the objectives of internal audit, as well as the pillars The references for internal audit and governance are in accordance with international expertise, including global standards for the internal audit and governance function, the internal control framework, and governance principles. The training also reviewed the scope of work of the Internal Audit and Governance Unit and the importance of strategic planning for the unit.
The second day of training is scheduled to review a number of topics from risk assessment and annual planning for the unit, including learning about the steps of risk assessment, developing the annual plan, and the stages of implementing the unit’s tasks, including preparatory work, planning, field work, reporting, and follow-up, as well as the economic governance project. < /p>
The training comes within the framework of a set of policies through which the Ministry of Social Solidarity aims to consolidate governance concepts within the framework of the administrative reform system, and apply digital governance to increase efficiency and effectiveness and raise the level of services provided.
